Born in Gothenburg — a movement of art, connection, and healing.
Still Flux was born within the psychiatric hospital in Gothenburg, out of a wish to bring together people who felt lost. What began as conversations and sketches between patients has grown into a shared platform. The aim is to make the psychiatric department less intimidating, through art, writing, and dialogue, we invite everyone to see the hospital not as a place of isolation, but as a starting point for rediscovery.
The works shown here come from many voices: artists from the hospital atelier, and others still discovering who they are and what their art can become. Each piece reflects the courage to keep creating in moments of uncertainty.
Still Flux embodies a deliberate paradox: stillness within motion and motion within stillness. The name reflects how our inner experiences can hold opposing forces at once: calm on the surface, shifting underneath, or identities and behaviors moving in contrasting directions at the same time. Rather than pointing to any specific mental condition, it captures the natural complexity of the inner world, where contradictions can coexist and shape a deeply human experience.
